Disappointing end to a great MCLC season. June 13th, 2009 Chicago, IL - Overcast skies, rain, and cold temps were a fitting backdrop to the first game of the day in which the team took on Minneapolis. Trailing by as many as 3 goals and, at one point, leading by as many as 3 goals, the team was not able to hold Minneapolis at bay. With 2 minutes left in the game, Minneapolis would tie the game at 12 and then, with only 18 seconds remaining, go up by the final score of 13-12.
The weather would break, but the results would remain the same. In the second game of the day, now out of contention for the championship, the team would go on to lose to Motor City LC by a score of 9-7; a team they had previously defeated during the regular season.
The team now looks forward to participating in the Carroll County Tournament and Pittsburgh Summer Lacrosse League.
